Construction of my cloned Estes Mini Shuttle flying model rocket. Copied from Ye Olde Rocket Forum.

Was digging through my box of rocket stuff and I uncovered patterns, instructions, and a set of decals for the Estes Mini Shuttle (1391) that I got about 6 years ago from a neighbor.

It's BT-60 based, and from the looks of it I can just clone it with a Baby Bertha as it already has the 18mm mount and round nose cone.
Before I run out and grab a Baby Bertha, does anyone know the correct length for the BT-60 body tube, and the correct balsa thickness? Jimz usually has this marked already, but not in this case.

You have no idea... :)

Grabbed a Baby tonight and got this one started as a side job while working on clearcoating my
Scrambler: 2 clone.
What's the story on this?

Stopped here at midnight. Will continue tomorrow night.

------------------------
Finished assembly tonight. Does anyone know exactly how much clay weight gets shoved into the nose cone?

-------------------------
Some paint on this one tonight

Tonight we have this:

self-reminder: take camera to shop next time. cell phone cams are garbage.
--------------------------
Decals are on, will try out the Future stuff on this one tomorrow and call it done.

-------------------------
And one small final detail; a tribute to one of my
favorite fallen amusement rides:

Drop the PASCOM; seal the bay!
----------------------------
Tonight I put some clearcoat on it to protect the decals. Will post finished pics later.
