http://www.sixflags.com/greatAmerica/tickets/magiquest.aspxFirst there was Chang, Than there was Glow in the Dark Parade, Little Dipper and NOW Magiquest?? It going to be a good season! :happi:
I have never been to a Magiquest Location before, but while was I in Wisconsin Dells during Chirstmas Break, Great Wolf Lodge has a Magiquest Location. I did not stayed there, but instead it was Kalahari. This should be very cool addition to the Park as well.

Agreed, sounds like a fun addition for the kids

I don't care about this really.
For Chang, we might not get it at all. Kentucky is saying fraud of Six Flags (and if were the judge, I would agree), so I wouldn't get your hopes too high. Six Flags didn't even put up that ride to begin with. Hey, I definitely would want Chang, but I don't think it's going to happen.
This year we are only getting the Little Dipper, and this thing. Getting the Little Dipper is nothing more to the park, but trying to get the Kiddieland people to come over to Great America, and they didn't have to pay a lot of money at all to get that Little Dipper. Sure, Six Flags is saving it, but they just want the people that came to Kiddieland to go to Great America. That's the whole point of them getting that ride.
I do like the Little Dipper, but it's okay, and it doesn't compare to Kings Island Fairly Odd Coaster which has even more airtime for that type of small wooden PTC coaster. Some carnival rides are more money used than what the Little Dipper cost.
To me, the Polyp, Merry-Go-Round (so much faster than Great America's one) or the Dip N Drop are the rides worth getting from Kiddieland.

But at least they're trying to add some new things to the park.

^Six Flags is always adding stuff new. When is the last year the park didn't get anything new? They constantly add stuff new to SFGAm, and to me it hurts them because of all of this capital they are putting in. This year is a not a big deal though because of how cheap they are getting the Little Dipper for.
It's really not new that they are adding stuff that's new. Think about this really. They are probably getting rid of the games because the locker thing is hurting them. So, you put in another attraction that doesn't include big large prizes, and you get more money that way.
Or, they are just moving SOME of the games right near the Little Dipper to lure the people into playing them while visiting the Little Dipper. It's the new ride, so make the people go by the games, and tempt them. That's what they did for Hurricane Harbor.
The problem for Six Flags right now and where the games are is that it's hard to market those games because the only ride right near that area is Revolution. Sure, Wiggle's is there, but it's on the other side. If you they were thinking purely money, what they should have done is put the Revolution where the games are and vice-versa. Better yet, move the swings or East River Crawler there instead of Revolution. They would even get more takers.

All things considered, I am just happy to see them still doing something with the park.

I disagree. BBNP was also becoming very empty and I think drawing kids back to this section of the park, with the future return of Looney Tunes Lodge is a very good move. Personally, any nostalgic coaster has a special place in my heart, no matter how big or small. Aside from any of that, our park still has a HUGE collection of flats (some of them unique) so be grateful for what we have

^The reason why the Looney Tunes area was becoming emptier is because they would close it off, and send the kids to Wiggle's World. The Looney Tunes wasn't open during Fright Fest.
And just because a ride is unique doesn't mean it's a great ride. Now, that you mention it though, the only unique ride I can think of is the East River Crawler. That ride could be somewhere else too. I don't know.
Fiddler's Fling, they have at Cedar Point, Condor (Morey's Pier, Great Escape), Troika's (SFOT, Kings Island, Cedar Point), Huss Swing Around (It's either at Knobels or Kennywood, and they do have the same type of ride, but different make at Dorney Park. Freestyle Music Park just got one. I think it's made by Huss.), Scramblers are still around (SFOT, Kings Island, SFMM, Dorney Park), The Orbit (SFOG, Cedar Point, SFStL), and Zierer Wave Swinger (Cedar Point, SFOG, Dorney Park).
