No Sign of Chang yet. I'm really excised for the 2010 season because the season is getting better.

I am glad someone liked one of my internet finds. Most of my posts either end up in the dumpster or no one answers. I knew I was boring, but............
Hope the Chang comes for you coaster enthusiasts!
I do know one thing cool coming for certain but I am not allowed to post it here because Jonrev warned about such posts. But it involves my beloved Hurricane Harbor and isn't happening this year anyway. So, I get my own private glee on this one, and it assures me that they consider the place to have a decent future.

One reason i don't post, no one replies.

Relax, dont take it personally. Threads don't go in the dumpster unless I have a good reason to toss it there, and I make sure that reason is made clear. Be glad you're not on something like TPR or The World, where people usually get chewed out by everyone for making a stupid post, even by the admins.

Ain't that the truth.

I am o.k. with whatever happens!
I am very selective about the forums I am a part of and so I only come to this one.
I have seen the (World) one and it is too dweeby for me. I don't know what the other one (TPR) is and don't need to. SFGAMZONE is the only site a true SFGA fan needs!
And CoasterNick2160 I am replying to you; "Come here more often, and I'll reply!"

The World is mostly a bunch of whiny 10 year olds that are always questioning why there isn't some new 500 foot coaster every year that ironically most of them wouldn't be able to ride due to the height restriction. The posts here, while less of them, have far more thought put into them which is why I enjoy reading this forum more.
As for the video, a few interesting things there. I'd assume the bulldozer in the lot was just for moving dirt around out there. The landscaping in the front seems to be ready for opening. Finally, the cart on Condor is likely just a maintenance cart for regular repairs and stuff before the season. I'd also assume we'll be seeing the coasters and other rides cycling soon in order to get the minimum cycles needed on each train or whatever in order to get licensing from the state for 2010.

Just for info:
The licensing from (strangely enough) the Illinois Dept. Of Labor is only a matter of paying the $35.00 for the sticker. I personally know both of the inspectors for Northern Illinois and have for more than 15 years. They are more akin to revenue compliance officers than safety inspectors.
The actual safety inspections come from the locality of where ever the festival or amusement park is located. (Fire Dept., Building Dept., Zoning., Etc.) But a large portion of the actual ride inspections are handled internally and/or by a third party consulting group which files a report back to the municipality.
I do a lot of work for several large amusement companies, so I have some knowledge of how it all comes together logistically.
Hope that was semi-interesting?

Interesting to know about the licensing. I thought the state would be a little more strict than that lol.

Unfortunately I suspect they are like the FAA. "Tombstone Agencies" They only really come out and crack down after there's been an incident.
