Title: It's official, It's Wiggles

Viper 06 - January 17, 2007 02:57 AM (GMT)
Wiggles world was announced today (finally).

Daily Herald

This article confirms the spot as the american eagle tent area, and also includes the adddition of a new food court, presumably where bleachers and those games used to be.

jonrev - January 17, 2007 03:14 AM (GMT)
But now where does the Eagle entrance get moved to?

Great America - January 17, 2007 01:10 PM (GMT)
That is so gay eagle has to be in the tent. :( Lets egg the wiggles!

HollisterGuy16 - January 17, 2007 09:42 PM (GMT)
Yeah, where will the entrence be?

Viper 06 - January 17, 2007 10:05 PM (GMT)
From what i've heard over by Pizza Luigi's. I'm also praying they use this opportunity to fix the eagle queue. Having the entrance near Luigi's With some kind of cool new sign and entrance since obviously the arch with the eagle on top is gone. Then have it curve around wiggles over the stairs fix up that random area on the other side of the train tracks for a set of queues, and then go under blue's track and fix up that second area tobe another set of queues. Then have it split near the station.

jonrev - January 17, 2007 10:41 PM (GMT)
They tore the arch down?!

Viper 06 - January 18, 2007 01:54 AM (GMT)
Uhm...Yeah that's where the kiddie area's going, remember?

sixflagger3211 - January 18, 2007 02:24 AM (GMT)
Honestly. What's Great America turning into?? It's nothing but crap for kids like under 7. But nothing can keep me away from there. lol

I thought they were going to take the Eagle thing off and replace the words American Eagle with Wiggles World instead of tearing the entire thing down.

Wii2007 - January 18, 2007 03:08 AM (GMT)
What's next sesamie street area, blue's clue's area. Shapiro wasn't lying about making it more family friendly

Viper 06 - January 18, 2007 04:38 AM (GMT)
Oh no...Next is thomas! MWA HA HA HAHAAHAHA!
I'm just kidding, no idea where the thomas areas are going. Probably not here.

And Jon the area's extending way out into the midway, i've pretty much heard that whole general area is currently ripped up on the way for nice plastic soft foam things that no kid could possibly hurt themselves on.

Hurricane_Harbor4life - January 21, 2007 05:44 PM (GMT)
^ Hope not. Ether Mark Shaprio is taking this family freindly thing too seriusly, he loves children, or he took crack.

HollisterGuy16 - January 27, 2007 06:19 AM (GMT)

jonrev - January 27, 2007 08:09 AM (GMT)
I'm scared...

sfgam123 - January 28, 2007 04:28 PM (GMT)
I think Shaprio is keeping all the cool stuff from the older kids.Like whens the last time we got somting for the older kids.

The wiggles world wont have that amount of people as the movie shows.

Viper 06 - January 29, 2007 01:09 AM (GMT)
You need to learn how to speak english fast.

sfgam123 - January 29, 2007 01:26 AM (GMT)
And you need to get a life fast.

Viper 06 - January 29, 2007 04:59 AM (GMT)
Ironically that's the first sentance I've ever understood that came from you.

First of all, I'd say the last time we got something for the "older kids" was this year. Tornado. If you don't accept that for whatever reason, then go to 2005, Hurricane Harbor, one of the greatest additions in SFGAm History, this is what it's all about in my opinion. I love HH! The Hurricane Mountain slides are great, skull island is amazing, great lazy river, tornado, bubba tubba, vortex, a lot of really great things to do that everyone can enjoy. And they do.

Second...How, oh mystical one, could you possibly have the knowledge of exactly how many people may or may not be in wiggles world at any given moment. I highly doubt given that you are in sixth grade that you could possibly have any clue how six flags, as a business, is run.

Third, the response you gave me made absolutly no sense whatsoever. How is a comment about your poor use of the english language responded to with "you need to get a life" Two things that are not connected in any way, shape, or form. Language and communication are absolutly the most amazing thing in the history of the universe. Kill me for being an english freak but how we communicate is the only way for others to learn anything about us, it is the only way for ideas to move. Can you possibly imagine how things would be if we could not communicate? The written word is what makes us a people, a civilization, and you....are massacreing it.

HollisterGuy16 - January 31, 2007 03:39 AM (GMT)
Couldn't we change "Older Kids" to "More mature guests?"

Look i know that wiggles world wont get that amount of people.

And my friends and I opened a bissness in are school and im the finance advisor.

Hurricane_Harbor4life - February 10, 2007 01:25 AM (GMT)
Well I hope the advertisement producer knows how to spell, and you have to know to spell also to be a financial adviser.

Are you kidding me!? Wiggles is the most popular childrens brand out there right now, there cant possibly be a bigger draw (except maybe Thomas & Friends which the park is probably getting also). Seeing a Wiggles World commercial on TV will make the kids want to go to GAm and the kid will bug his parents to take him all day every day, and they will. And when they are there since they are kids they will buy the Wiggles merch, amd eat at the Yum Yum Cafe because its in the show.

What business is this? Itll probably be shut down by OSHA anyway :).

Jebus - February 11, 2007 05:30 AM (GMT)
Eww, Wiggles.

sfgam123 - April 11, 2007 02:37 AM (GMT)
I found the list of rides at Wiggles.
The Big Red Car ride
The Big Red Plane ride
Dorothy’s Rosy Tea cups
Bouncin’ with Wags ride
Henry’s Splash Fountain

Viper 06 - April 11, 2007 03:46 AM (GMT)
There's also:
The Yummy Yummy Fruit Salad Tower Ride
The USS Feathersword Play Area
And don't forget the Get Ready to Wiggles show in a new 300 Seat Theatre.

And for all of you who are saying that Shapiro is taking family friendly too far, and where's the stuff for older kids or "More Mature Guets," what was tornado? what was Hurricane Harbor? What was Ragin' Cajun? What was Revolution? What was Superman? All Recent additions that I love.

Teens have no disposible income. But say a family of four sees some adds for wiggles world, goes and because the kids want nothing else they end up spending the entire day in Wiggles World! They have farmer's market right on the way, a new 50s themed restaurant next store, a show to give the parents a chance to sit down, family restrooms, and a health food stand, not to mention Two more Kids areas not five minutes away, Including the spectacularly Popular Brunch with Bugs. So they get there, get a morning brunch with bugs and hang out in bbnp and camp for a while, then to sit down take the train maybe, and then spend about two hours taking in wiggles world, with a snack at the Yummy Yummy cafe. By now the kids are probably dead tired! So on the way out the parents start thinking "wow Today was Great, the kids had so much fun, and while i personally couldn't stand hearing that endless loop of childrens songs, the kids were happy. But I really didn't get to do everything I love, so on the way out they think, hey, let's get a multi-visit pass, or a season pass, so i can come back and ride coasters and the kids can come back on memorial day to see the wiggles in concert when they are here!"

Let's put together a list shall we.
Two Adult Tickets
Two Childrens Tickets
Four Meals at Brunch with Bugs
Some Healthy Snacks for everyone at the Yummy Yummy Cafe
A Few small souveniers for the kids
Some ice cream or something un-healthy on the way out
Four Season Pass Upgrades

That's roughly 500$ in sales in One day! Not to mention money spent on food, drinks, and souveneirs for the rest of the season!

When I visit the park I have a season pass...so they make a quick 90 bucks off me in January...then aboout 10 bucks a visit every once and a while when I don't have something to eat out of park. The market that would visit Wiggles World is the same market that would spend money at the park, and six flags is a struggling business who hasn't reported a profitable quarter for several years, need I say more?

This Market is also the same market that's going to see shows which is why so much money is being spent on shows this year. Little timmy and Cindy get tired so sit down and watch a show in an air conditioned theatre, or simply stop and watch as you see one in the midway.
List o' New Shows which prove my point
Spirit of America
Show Stoppin'
Country Rocks
Reflections: Sounds of the 80s
Operation SpyGirl
Revamped version of Bugs Bunny Tonight
Celebrate the Joy Parade
Revamped Version of Bugs Bunny's Starlight Spectacular

If you can argue any of my points, I invite you to do so. Until then, suck it up and realize that Six Flags is not catering to you as a demographic anymore.

He's from Disney. What do you expect? The kids areas are cheap instead of building 15 million roller coasters. He forgets about thrilling flats that don't even cost in the millions that teenagers will like.

The whole notion that teens only want roller coasters should stop. They need more to occupy there time with other rides that they like. How many teens ride flats besides Giant Drop, King Chaos, and Revolution? Every other flat is geared more not to them. Well, maybe water rides are geared to them though.

Then you go, they have all those roller coasters. Some teens don't like roller coasters just like some people don't like spinning rides. A person didn't want to go Magic Mountain because they knew that the park had all these roller coasters, and not much else. So, if you are a teen, and don't like roller coasters, you might be bored to death. How many spinning rides do they like?

Our park has a lot of family stuff to do already. More thrilling flats (Not roller coasters) would be great, and they could be the cheap kind like a 400,000 Oribiter. That's perfect, and it doesn't cost a 6 million Max Air type of ride. Maybe, put two thrilling rides like an Orbiter, and gizmo type of Flying Bobs ride (Hay Bailer) in. That would get more teens in the park.

I'm not upset with the Wiggle's World, but has Six Flags only relied on teens for support at our park. We have a lot of family stuff. The key to getting this company in better shape is to add flats (thrilling, medium, relaxing) instead of roller coasters. However, with the small parks that don't have many roller coasters, you need to give them those. Our park doesn't need anymore roller coasters for a while. It's a waste for our park.

Maybe, in 2013, we can get a roller coaster, but why now? We had one in 2004, 2003, and 2 in 2001. That's why Six Flags is in debt so much. They gave a 25 million water park in 2005. Isn't this nuts? That's too many additions. Don't forget 1999. That, and the fact that they bought a lot of junky parks that didn't work out for them.

Viper 06 - April 11, 2007 09:54 PM (GMT)
Well Personally I Love all our rides. The Only rides that I don't ride on a regualr basis are Iron Wolf and Jester's Wild Ride.

HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY BE UNHAPPY WITH OUR SHOWS!! They spent millions on shows this year! We have more performers then ever before! Even a new parade with new floats! What exactly is your problem? If you're looking for broadway level shows then you're living in a fantasy world. But for theme park shows we have the best. (I do beleive that we have better shows then sfft) And it shows. In 2005 Love at First Fright won an award, and in 2006 Bugs Bunny's Starlight Spectacular won an award! We have great Shows! And if it's a question of ignorance then let me remind you of our entertainment list for 2007.

Spirit of America- Reflection Pond
Marvin the Martian in the Third Dimension- Pictorium
Show Stoppin'- Grand Music Hall
Country Rocks- SWT Pop up show
Serpent Safari- Mission Stage
Operation SpyGirl- AT&T Southwest Territory Amphitheatre
Great American Idol- Market Stage
Get Ready to Wiggle- New Wiggles Auditorium
Reflections: Sounds of the 80s- County fair Pop-up show
Brunch with Bugs- Snowshoe taphouse
Manny B. and the Rhythm Nights- Mardi Gras Stage
Looney Tunes Tonight- Theatre Royale
Also There's the water park shows, we Usually have D.J. Bob on the beach stage, some steel drummers in the plaza, and the one man band by saltwater sal's.
Plus:
Celebrate the Joy- NEW AFTERNOON PARADE Route from Fiddlers Fling around to Hometown Park. With 15 new vehicles Including segways for the Justice League and a specially made limo for Bugs and Lola.
Bugs Bunny's Starlight Spectacular AND FIREWORKS- Hometown Square for pre-show and fireworks, and parade to mardi Gras.

^And While I have plenty of idea of how to improve our show list, i firmly beleive that this is the most we could possibly ask for at this point in th game.

thrill_god - April 11, 2007 10:23 PM (GMT)
SOME shows were really bad LAST year. This year is going to be better. I never mentioned how many or when. Besides, we well have to get our opinions once we see them.

Viper 06 - April 11, 2007 10:50 PM (GMT)
What shows did you think were bad last year?
Incidently I don't consider Great American Idol a show so much as a travesty to human ears...

coasterkid92 - April 25, 2007 12:52 AM (GMT)
Well the wiggles world section thats being built seems to be working to attract famlies. My parents bought passes for my younger sisters for the first time and they told my neighbors and they bought season passes too.

Viper 06 - April 26, 2007 05:18 PM (GMT)
Exactly. And Incidently Adding Five new Flats, A Playground, A Stage, an interactive fountain, a new restaurant and completely refurbishing an area isn't "Cheap" as stated by iluvthevu above.

Not to mention additions like Johnny Rockets, Cold Stone, Ben and Jerry's, That new gyro place in Farmer's Market, The two new stages for Reflections and Country Rocks, package pick up, the new misters, and the huge new "YOU ARE HERE" Advertising campaign...frankly i don't know what else you want six flags to be spending their money on right now...

thrill_god - April 26, 2007 09:13 PM (GMT)
^ I really can't wait for the foods to be at SFGAm, especially Johnny Rockets.

HollisterGuy16 - April 27, 2007 02:45 AM (GMT)

Well even though it is kid rides at least it is something new to look at. Sooner or later this donkey of a CEO will realize that parks need fresh new rides to get customers. You need to spend money to gain money, so on and so forth.

I guess I can say Superman was a tease... Cool, flying coaster. Cool, pretzel loop... What else?!? Wait, nothing? That's the ride? Afraid so sir. I see, I see.

I like V2, but waiting over 45 minutes for it, to me, just isn't worth it. Deja Vu is hit or miss, but worth the wait if it is a nice day. If the weather looks like it could rain and Deja Vu is rockin' I just stay away... One drop of rain on its wonderful green rails sends it down faster than it takes Giant Drop to plumment to the ground.

Raging Bull is a quality coaster, you get what you "wait" for. Again, my personal opinion.

Ilovthevu' - May 7, 2007 10:53 PM (GMT)
Did anyone go on the Wiggle's rides? How were they? How was the ride that goes up and down. (Wags or something like that)?

jonrev - May 7, 2007 11:05 PM (GMT)
They have a frog hopper... now I'm tempted to go in there because I used to love the Frog Hoppers.
