Title: SFGAmZone.com

FRD714 - January 23, 2007 09:56 PM (GMT)
=For those coming from Google, this project was canceled long ago, however we will continue to exist as a forum only. Feel free to join in on the fun!=

It is my pleasure to announce the SFGAm Zone site for 2008. I've thought long about it and decided to give it a try. Plans for what will be featured is already underway. I'm hoping the site can be started sometime before summer, and the official opening being in January 2008, possibly before if things go smoothly. I'll be posting updates as to how things are coming along.

Thank you.

Unfortunately I haven't received any updates on the site since.

Still no real update... but here's something else,

One of the ideas we had for sfgamzone.com was to have videos for every ride at the park. The major rides and roller coasters would get full-song videos, and others like these Condor and Giant Drop videos for example would get just a brief video to show site visitors exactly what the ride does.

SFGAm ZONE - Condor:

Over the next few days I'll release some more videos planned for the full site.

Hey guys, sorry for no update in months. I've been busy with other things. Unfortunately, the site I was working on got wiped out when my hard drive went bad. I wasn't very far into the site anyway. I still plan on remaking it, but I can't promise anything soon. Please keep the suggestions coming though.

My suggestion....

Get off your ass and finish the damn thing :P

The best suggestion I've heard so far! :P

I'll eventually get back to making it again. Thing is I have so many ideas running through my head for a site like this, I just burn myself out and become uninterested.

Figured I should give some kind of update...

Unfortunately, the above post is the last I've heard about any progress with SFGAmZone.com, and until I receive any word on if this project is still alive or not, I'm un-sticking this thread.

If I don't hear anything from Frank about the site by year's end, then most likely this forum will become the official forums of the SFGAm Wiki.

Dark knight - July 23, 2008 03:10 PM (GMT)
I doubt that is going to happen I mean he's been working on it supposily for like two years now, how long does it take to make a forum?

Luxornv - July 23, 2008 06:52 PM (GMT)
^It's more than just coding a forum, and no matter what forum software you use (like vBulletin or PHPBB), the coding is still a pain. PHP and SQL suck from what I've heard (though most coding or programming languages are). There is also the issue of where to host it, whether do it on the server space the domain will provide for you, or do it yourself.

I notice the domain isn't registered. If I were running this project, I would buy it now and at least have it redirect to here or the SFGAm Wiki.

FRD714 - August 24, 2008 02:16 AM (GMT)
This project has been officially cancelled.

With my new job, I have zero time for something like this. It's just too much to keep up. Plus, I'm out of the web design business, for now.

Sorry everybody.
