Title: Marriott Soundtrack Dead
jonrev - May 15, 2006 01:21 AM (GMT)
The old Marriott soundtrack played thruought the park has been replaced with 50s - 80s style music. :( This is for their 45th anniversary crap.

I always remember to correct the ride ops that this is the 30th anniversary, and not the 45th!
jonrev - May 15, 2006 02:30 AM (GMT)
They're required to say 45th because of the company. Damn corporate BS.

Ya this 45th anniversary crap is getting really old. Why couldn't they wait 5 more years till 50. To me it's kinda stupid what they did.
Great America - September 23, 2006 12:56 AM (GMT)
Agree, We are gonna have to go through this music again in 5 years.

It was funny what they did do though. They added a lot more songs in County Fair from the beginning of the season. For awhile, they only had about 2-2 1/2 hours of music. Now, they have too much, and you never seem to hear the same song twice like you did when it wasn't this 50 and on stuff. Southwest Territory has gone back to it's orginal music. Someone said that it never changed, but here someone says that it was different.
Anyway, at first I was disappointed, but it soon became fun to listen to the 80's songs in County. Now, I also like the Spice Girls, and Evanscenes (sp) in Yankee Harbor.
jonrev - September 25, 2006 09:18 PM (GMT)
Southwest's music has been the same all year. Same with Mardi Gras and Orleans Place.
sixflagger3211 - September 25, 2006 11:20 PM (GMT)
In the queue line for Deja Vu, you hear the same song at least twice all the time. That's happened almost everytime I've gone this year.

They played "I Think We're Alone Now" AT LEAST 3 times in a day. They Had "Thriller" on one day
And Jon's right. We were required to say 45th Anniversary. It got old fast.
sixflagger3211 - January 6, 2007 03:54 AM (GMT)
Well it's back to normal this season!!! Yes lol. 45th Anniversary wa getting really old.
DANNIEFULNESS - January 7, 2007 06:41 AM (GMT)
Aww, you guys are no fun... The 50's-80's music was fun to hear! I mean don't get me wrong, I've always had a soft spot for Ragtime music but the changce of pace was nice.

I hate 80's music. With the exception of Skid Row, Warrant, and some others.
SFGAm07 - May 30, 2007 04:25 PM (GMT)
Orleans Place is now back to its original music, HTS is now changed to 80's and County Fair is still 80's, Yukon is still 70's, Mardi Gras is still the music its always had, and Yankee Harbor is 90's. Although I sorta miss the themed music, the newer soundtrack is definitley is much more pleasing to the ear...(just wished they wouldve kept 60's in HTS, those went very well together).
Viper 06 - May 30, 2007 07:03 PM (GMT)
Yeah...80s doesn't really work with HTS.
jonrev - May 30, 2007 07:38 PM (GMT)
Yeah I notieced that last week. Doesn't fit at all.
Speaking of music, 2 weekends ago there was still Fright Fest music playing faintly in the Hurricane Harbor enterance path. I could hear it from Viper's queue.
