==========

Welcome!

We are Six Flags Great America Zone; abbreviated as SFGAmZone, or simply "The Zone" for short.

Established in 2006, just for the hell of it, The Zone is a group of roller coaster enthusiasts and theme park dorks (often known as "ACEr's", whether they are a member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts or not) from all parts of the country, from all ethnic groups. We may have one park in our name, but we welcome all coaster enthusiasts.

The Zone may be about a family-friendly theme park, but that doesn't mean the internet is family-friendly. If you are offended easily, don't use common sense, or can't take a joke, you probably won't last long here.

To keep the rest short and sweet:
-We love roller coasters.
-We do it for lulz.
-We are not the other site.
-We are independent.
-We don't take no guff from "Old Europe"
-"Old Europe" is ThemeParkReview
-Don't worry about shit.
-Enjoy your ride!

The Zone has one admin/mod: Jon, known here as "jonrev". Don't make his job suck, to make sure everybody is happy, we have short set of rules that we expect all members (and we mean ALL members) to follow... Robb Alvey is not excluded from these rules.

========================

=Keep it civilized!=
Do not make posts threatening other members, they will get you banned, and we'll turn whatever information we can find over to the rollers.

=Don't try to circumvent the censor system=
This is a free country, and you are free to cuss on this forum. However, the forum software will censor racial slurs and will notify me immediately of the racist prick here. Racist bastards will have their accounts canned with no warning. Remember, we hate Illinois Nazis!

=Learn to spell, use proper grammar, punctuation, blah blah blah...=
Everyone who posts here is to be over the age of 13... the reason is because we expect everyone at that age to have enough knowledge of the English language to converse on these forums. This is NOT your cell phone, if you can't spell or use grammar worth a shit, then we'll assume you are underage and can your account.

=Images=
Coaster pics are welcome. Artsy-fartsy pics are welcome. Funny pics are welcome (when tasteful). P0rn, racist, and gorey images aren't, and we will terminate the account of anyone who posts such images. Pics of cats are fine, too.

And for fuck's sake, CHECK THE FUCKING FILE SIZE! There is no reason for an image to be wider than 800 pixels, ever.

=No cross-posting=
Do not start a thread in one of the other sections saying you've got a great Trip Report in the Trip Report section. Or ask in the SFGAm/SFHH section if people would please take a look at your thread in the TO/T section, because you really need to get rid of that bad case of athletes' foot.

=Absolutely no spamming=
Let me repeat that. Absolutely no spamming. I'm really, really happy for you that you got rich quick and I'm flattered that you want to share one of the best kept secrets of the business with us. But really, check your email's inbox and buy those 500 million email addresses for just $99 and send out emails instead. What, you deleted that email because it was spam? I rest my case.

=Watch what you say=
Anything you say on the internet can be used against you. Be careful with those pr0n words. It causes SFGAmZone to drop rapidly in the search engines.

============================

=Warning to Park Employees=
Park management does frequent this site. If you wish to avoid jeopardizing your employment, DO NOT post information about your job, and DO NOT post pics from "behind the scenes". There are some things that the park may not wish to become public knowledge. Besides, broken pavement and the backside of the Grand Music Hall gets boring pretty quick.

=POV Policy=
POV (point-of-view) photos and videos taken on rides are VERY-highly discouraged, as they violate park rules and can become a safety hazard when done incorrectly; but they ARE allowed here.

Our POV videos are filmed with special, tiny cameras, that are not a safety hazard if dropped.

=Disclaimer=
The administrator of SFGAmZone.com WILL NOT be held responsible for the content posted by the users of this site. The administrator reserves ALL rights to remove or modify any posts at the request of Six Flags.

=SFGAmZone Moderation System=
Everyone makes mistakes, and because we aren't Nazis, occasionally I will help you out and fix your mistakes. What gets fixed will be marked with an orange =ADMIN NOTE=.

If you haven't already figured it out, we support a "lax" atmosphere here. As I am the one and only admin, I have made The Zone a more "self-governing" community; meaning I have decided I will leave most of the moderation up to the users.

At the top of every single post is a "REPORT" button; when submitted, it sends a notification straight to me that things are going sour. Should a thread steer way off-topic, or should users begin violating the rules of this forum, I STRONGLY encourage the more "mature" person to report the post.

Unless something is obvious, I will not take any action until the post is reported, I'd prefer for people to try and work their own issues out first. If it gets way out of hand, the entire thread will be thrown in The Dumpster and the members that caused the fiasco will be handled accordingly.

Warnings will be issued via PM, and will also be placed directly to any violating post in red, bold text. Any user that receives more than three warnings will be banned from this forum.

Banned accounts shall be turned over to the forum members for 24 hours in the Spam Room and Dumpster, what they do with it is up to them. After 24 hours, the account will be completely deleted from the system.
