In the next month or so I am going to experiment with building a custom frame for my American Eagle blueprint poster, as the park's $300-something price tag is absurd, and apparently a framing shop isn't much better. Unfortunately, due to their odd size, they DO NOT fit in any frame available at Walmart, etc.

If this works out I will be glad to offer my services to the Zone and anyone else interested, as well as for the new Iron Wolf blueprints (I'm yet to see these).

Active (more than 25 posts) Zone members will receive a discount, but the price is TBD. Definitely under $100; we'll see what parts total. These will be painted wood frames with a sheet of plexiglass to protect the poster itself. Learned a technique from my grandfather.

Just curious to see how many are interested.

+1 for an AE one. Bought one of those and was thinking of trying something myself, once I find some time which won't happen any time soon. As for ideas, the park's frame looked nice in black, and a stained wood finish wouldn't look bad either.

I am DEFINATLEY interested for a Eagle one. Thanks for doing this, Jon. And the Iron Wolf framed picture is not too bad, around 25 for the print and 90 for the print + frame. It is smaller, though.

I got #53 of 100 of the AE posters. Sure, I'll get a frame from you for my poster.

Where did you hear about IW posters??

I bought my AE print on Opening Day, and it still hasn't been removed from its cardboard tube. I really need a frame, and at $100 or less, I'm definitely sold. Thanks, Jon!

Are the AE prints now sold out? I didn't see them yesterday.

I haven't seen any Iron Wolf prints.

They are still there, and the Iron Wolf blueprints are a few shelving units to the right of the Eagle stand; it's nice how they have merch organized by ride, now.

Hobby Lobby does frames. Not sure of the cost other than I get a discount because my father's a manager there. Is there any way you can take a pic of the Eagle blueprint so I can see if I want it?

I'll look for IW posters, if they have some.

I just had that laying around. It's a craptacular blend of 2 images since it's long and hard to make out the detail any farther away. I could have done a better job, but I just didn't care when I took these pictures.

I was also thinking of getting something from Hobby Lobby if I couldn't find a frame. Just get some cardboard backing and see if they sell long lengths of that clip that holds poster frames together. Won't be fancy, but it would get the job done.

They're here and they cost 30. Much cheaper than the AE posters.

@Jon - That's epic. I want one. As far as cardboard backing and other various things for frames, they should have something. Is the blueprint part of two posters?

Jon have you tried Starvin Artist supply in Des Plaines I don't think that they are that bad. And let me know how you finally mount one of those things as I also bought one. Do you think that they will be coming out with any of the others or do u think that AE and Wolf are going to be it?

So what's the status on these? I think a framed blueprint would be perfect for my dorm room.

Since that coaster is going away, those things might be worth money?
