Agreed.
If you are in the shade, have plenty of water, and are not doing vigorous activity, it's bearable.
However, if you try to be macho like I did yesterday...go on a fast bike ride in the middle of the day (103 actual air temp) in mostly sunny areas for 45 minutes, you might be in trouble. The first half was fine...and then I couldn't drink enough water. I brought double the amount (two large sport bottles) on my bike that I usually do for this ride, and it wasn't enough. If I had the space, I could have easily gone through three and maybe four bottles. Unfortunately, my bike "only" has two bottle cages on it.
I was at the park from 2:30 until 4 on Wednesday, July 4, when it was 102, and I went through almost three Sports Bottles just walking around, much of the time in the shade. I felt okay, though. Wearing my workout gear (similar to Dri-FIT) really helped keep me relatively cool and dry.
American Eagle was almost a walk-on on Blue. Demon was running three trains, which actually seemed to make things slower than if it was running two, since there was almost no one there. Whizzer was a five minute wait.
Going on five rides in an hour is always a good thing. So yeah, short lines, from what I saw.
Today may be the last day for short lines!
I'm actually getting acclimated to these temps...I don't even use the A/C in my car driving around town. I just wish it weren't so damn' hot at night...86 degrees at 3 AM is crap!
I have a feeling I'm going to be "cold" tomorrow, heh.
